Toronto ambient metal duo Northumbria, featuring former Holoscene members Jim Field and Dorian Williamson, have recently released a video for the song "Black Sea of Trees", which was filmed by Marc Forand using time-lapse photography.
The song, originally recorded in 2012, merges some slow-shifting guitars drenched with distortion together with a nerve-wracking droning feedback, resulting in a hypnotic, yet disquieting sound that seems like the appropriate soundtrack for the images the video portrays. Check out the video below.

Experimental, dark ambient / noise trio Locrian have premiered their new video for 'Exiting The Halls Of Vapor And Light', off of their new full-length, ‘Return To Annihilation’.
The video is an abstract interpretation directed by George Moore of the instrumental track that appears on their new effort, a two-part concept album inspired by the band’s love for prog-rock progenitors Genesis, Yes and King Crimson. Savannah's riff-meisters Black Tusk have unveiled a new video for the song ‘Truth Untold’ from their new EP ‘Tend No Wounds’, which is now available via Relapse Records. The EP features six new tracks recorded with producer Phillip Cope (Kylesa, Baroness) at the Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina and serves a stop-gap between their last effort ‘Set The Dial’ and their next one.

The clip can also be seen below and is taken from the band’s new album ‘The Road Will End’, which our very own Matt Hinch describes as a "one of the flat out heaviest records of the year". Portland’s sludge duo The Body have recently released a video for the song "The Ebb and Flow of Tides in a Sea of Ash," and let me warn you that is bloody sick. The video contains footage of a horrifying crime scene, apparently a mass suicide devout to a faction or cause that authorities have not yet been able to determine.
The track comes off the band's upcoming EP, ‘Master, We Perish,’ slated for release through At A Loss Recordings on April 30, and you should be able to pre-order it at the following location.
